Unemployment and job vacancies by education, 2016 to 2022 (Statistics Canada)

This article shows that employers’ difficulties to fill job vacancies requiring high levels of education cannot, in general, be attributed to a national shortage of highly educated jobseekers or to local shortages of such jobseekers. Vacancies may arise because of a lack of concordance between the skills required for the job and the skills possessed by highly educated jobseekers.

Enablers and Barriers to Success in Canada’s Music Industry (Diversity Institute)

These findings underscore the pervasive barriers experienced by marginalized groups, limiting their access to opportunities and hindering their success in the music industry. The report emphasizes the importance of concrete actions, transparency and accountability in promoting EDI.
