Suzie Johnson-Smith of Peterborough Ontario has been working in Human Services since 1992, primarily supporting low-income people in need of financial and employment assistance with the City’s Social Services Division. She provided front-line case-management for several years before becoming a coach and supervisor. In 2012, Johnson-Smith began to introduce and promote the Bridges framework starting with her local office. Shortly thereafter, she became a certified trainer with aha! Process Inc in order expand to the broader community. She also now facilitates sessions for aha! on an international level. Johnson-Smith passionately believes that the Bridges out of Poverty framework can and should inform our practices for improved relationships, outcomes and systems.
