IAEVG International Conference 2023 Call for Papers (International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance)

Proposals due: Dec. 15 | Conference: June 28-30 (The Hague)

The IAEVG provides global leadership in and advocates for guidance by promoting ethical, socially just and best practices throughout the world so that career, educational and vocational guidance and counselling is available to all citizens from competent and qualified practitioners. It is accepting proposals for oral papers / paper sessions, workshop of practices and poster.

CEWIL Conference

Proposals due: Dec. 16 | Conference: June 18-21 (Halifax)

CEWIL’S first in-person conference since 2018, “A Sea of Opportunity,” will explore the following themes: Engaging in Innovative WIL, Building Community, Strengthening Leadership in WIL, Leveraging WIL Research and Data, and Embracing Experiential Education.

NACADA Annual Conference Call for Proposals

Proposals due: Dec. 12 – Feb. 23  

NACADA promotes and supports quality academic advising in institutions of higher education to enhance the educational development of students. This US-based association includes professional advisors, counsellors, faculty, administrators and students.

Disability and Work in Canada 2022 (DWC 2022) Conference

Nov. 29-30 & Dec. 7-8 | Virtual

The theme for this year’s conference is the “Disability, inclusion and belonging in the Canadian Workplace,” with subthemes for each day:

  • Inclusion in the workplace
  • Belonging in the workplace
  • Inclusive workplace strategy
Future Workforce (Brainstorm Strategy Group)

Dec. 7 & 8 | Virtual

Future Workforce is about attracting, recruiting and developing the talent that will tackle the challenges of tomorrow. The conference brings together employers and the educational institutions that develop Canadian youth to facilitate the exchange of ideas, practices and insights.

Cannexus23 (CERIC)

Jan. 23-25 | Hybrid – Virtual and In-person in Ottawa

CERIC’s Cannexus23 conference – a hybrid event for the first time ever! – will feature 150+ sessions from a who’s who of career development and workforce leaders. The conference will offer networking opportunities for both in-person and virtual attendees, and feature keynotes from Dr. James Makokis, Linda Nazareth and Tareq Hadhad. All attendees will have access to virtual session recordings for six months following the conference.

Future Skills @ Cannexus (Future Skills Centre and Cannexus23)

Jan. 25 | Ottawa

In this half-day program at Cannexus23, the Future Skills Centre will showcase a varied program that explores the significant initiatives that are responding to the latest trends affecting Canadian career development and employment services. For those attending the full Cannexus conference, the Future Skills @Cannexus program is included in the Cannexus registration fee.

EDCO Conference and Showcase (Economic Developers Council of Ontario)

Feb. 7-9 | Toronto

Exploring the theme of “Time for transformation,” the annual EDCO conference will bring together the economic developer community to explore the pivotal role economic developers will play in transforming Ontario’s economy. The conference promises to provide space to imagine, create and collaborate with some of the most innovative and strategic minds in the profession.
