This policy brief highlights the need to transform adult skills development by expanding beyond traditional continuing vocational education and training (CVET) to include workplaces and digital environments supported by frameworks that connect formal, non-formal and informal learning pathways.
‘The Benefits of Hindsight’ : Reconsidering Higher Education Choices (University of Bristol)
This project explores the views of current and former students at UK universities about their university choices, and whether with hindsight they would have made different decisions about what and where to study. The proportions saying that with hindsight they would have done things differently were substantial – 35% of undergraduates and 52% of graduates.
Postsecondary enrolment rates by parental income: National and sub-national trends from 2001 to 2022 (Statistics Canada)
Overall, in 2022, 58.3% of youth aged 19 were enrolled in postsecondary education, but this varied by income level – 75.2% of those in the top income quintile were enrolled, compared with 43.2% of their counterparts in the bottom income quintile.
