Equity in education and on the labour market (OECD)
The Spotlight first presents an overview of equity in education, analyzing the main trends at each of level of education from early childhood to tertiary education. It goes on to consider disparities in opportunities, exploring how educational inequalities persist and assessing the fit between educational outcomes and labour-market experiences. Finally, it analyes how education affects labour-market prospects and outcomes.
Unemployment in Canada: A Report From the Survey on Employment and Skills (Diversity Institute)
The purpose of this analysis was to further investigate the following research questions:
- Which demographic groups are more likely to experience long-term unemployment?
- How do those who are unemployed and looking for work differ from those that are unemployed and not looking for work?
- What are the reasons why some unemployed individuals are not looking for work?
Canadian labour force: What will happen once baby boomers retire? (Statistics Canada)
This report seeks to answer the following questions:
- What will the Canadian labour force look like once all Baby Boomers have reached the usual retirement age?
- Is it possible to find a new equilibrium between labour force entries and exits after 2030?
- How could the size, demographic weight and composition of the labour force change over the next 20 years?
