Understanding the Multidimensional Impacts of Covid-19 on Low-income and Precariously Employed Immigrant Women (South Asian Women’s and Immigrant’s Services)

Our report demonstrates that the experience of precariously employed immigrant women has been underscored by severe economic and social exclusion. This severely impacted their ability to fully participate in taking protective measures during the pandemic. It has also increased their vulnerability in the face of upcoming and future economic, health and social crises.

Employers making progress on anti-Black racism (KPMG)

Nearly six in 10 (59%) respondents said their employer’s efforts to hire more Black people improved in 2022, and 54% said their employer’s efforts to promote more Black people into leadership roles also improved. However, many people are concerned that a recession could wipe out those gains.
