Ontario nonprofits face triple threat from COVID-19 (Ontario Nonprofit Network)

Ontario’s nonprofits and charities are facing a triple threat as a result of COVID-19: an abrupt loss of revenue from the cancellation of fundraising events and a steep drop-off in donations; the closure of offices and cancellation of programs and services due to pandemic restrictions; and unprecedented human resource challenges in terms of both paid staff and volunteers.

Working Through COVID-19: Pay Premiums Survey (Conference Board of Canada)

As COVID-19 spreads, many Canadians – especially essential workers in key sectors – must still go to work at a physical workplace. The Conference Board has asked HR professionals across Canada about the many ways they’re supporting their public-facing workers.

Free Universities: Putting the Academic Freedom Index into Action (Global Public Policy Institute)

This report introduces the Academic Freedom Index (AFi), a new time series and near-global dataset on several dimensions of academic freedom. It calls on decision-makers in higher education and foreign policy, university administrations, research
