Additional Qualification Courses in Guidance and Career Education (OSCA)
Oct. 6 – Dec. 5 (Online)
The instructor, a current guidance teacher-counsellor, will walk participants through this three-part course aimed at educators specializing in Guidance and Career Education. The course is geared toward enhancing skills necessary for effective guidance counselling in Ontario schools.

This part-time, online graduate certificate program provides training to enter and/or advance in the field of career development in roles such as employment advisors, career resource specialists, job developers or career management professionals. Douglas College – Career Development Practitioner Certificate

An asynchronous, part-time certificate program is aligned with the Canadian Standards and Guidelines for Career Development Practitioners. This program will help you develop the competencies, knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to work effectively with a diverse client population. You will learn how to use assessment tools, identify labour market trends and help clients navigate career transitions.

This virtual or in-person option program teaches participants how to use the Online Storyteller tools and Conversation Guide to support clients or students.
Personality Dimensions Levels I and II

Personality Dimensions Level I equips participants to facilitate personality assessments, covering core theories, ethical considerations and adult learning principles. Level II prepares participants to train other facilitators with advanced teaching and assessment skills.
Simon Fraser University – Career Development Practitioner Certificate

This 14-week intensive program covers theory, job development, group facilitation and includes a 3-week practicum to help you launch your career as a CDP.
