People First: A Portrait of Canada’s Nonprofit Workforce (Imagine Canada)

What do we know about the millions of people working in Canada’s non-profit sector? This report provides a detailed profile of these workers, including demographic and salary information, and uncovers how the non-profit workforce differs significantly from the broader Canadian labour force.

Labour Force Survey, June 2025 (Statistics Canada)

Employment increased by 83,000 (+0.4%) in June and the employment rate rose by 0.1 percentage points to 60.9%. The unemployment rate fell 0.1 percentage points to 6.9%.

Global Gender Gap Report 2025 (World Economic Forum)
