Labour Force Survey, April 2022 (Statistics Canada)
Employment was little changed in April after two consecutive months of growth. The unemployment rate edged down 0.1 percentage points to 5.2%. Increases in employment in professional, scientific and technical services and public administration were offset by declines in construction and retail trade.
Just Transition to a Low-Carbon Economy (Office of the Auditor General of Canada)
This report concluded that Natural Resources Canada, working with Employment and Social Development Canada and partners on behalf of the federal government, was not prepared to support workers and their communities for a just transition to a low‑carbon economy.
