Labour Force Survey, October 2025 (Statistics Canada)
Employment increased by 67,000 (+0.3%) in October, the second consecutive monthly increase, and the employment rate rose 0.2 percentage points to 60.8%. The unemployment rate declined 0.2 percentage points to 6.9%.
The State of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Canada: 2025 (Diversity Institute)
Canadian women entrepreneurs not only contribute to the Canadian economy they anchor it, making up 20% of all businesses, up from 17.6% a year earlier. This year’s report also includes data from a new survey of Canadian women entrepreneurs, who are mostly incorporated and self-employed.
