Labour Force Survey, May 2025 (Statistics Canada)

Employment was little changed in May (+8,800; +0.0%) and the employment rate held steady at 60.8%. The unemployment rate rose 0.1 percentage points to 7.0%.

Sectoral approaches can be effective; however, co-ordinators need a deep understanding of the labour market conditions, which requires a high degree of expertise.
