LGBTQ2S+ Populations in the Trades in Canada: Exploratory Insights (SRDC)

This report explores the following questions: 1.) What are the employment patterns and socio-demographic profiles of lesbian, gay and bisexual populations in the trades in Canada? 2.) What are the perceptions of key stakeholders in terms of the experiences, barriers, and available supports for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals in the trades?

A Sustainable Jobs Blueprint (The Pembina Institute)

This report argues there is a clear need for the federal government to increase its ambition regarding sustainable jobs and move forward with swiftness and intention to prepare workers and communities for transition, and prepare our institutions to respond to the changes that are already beginning to unfold.

What’s Driving Student Decisions? Analyzing 2022 Ontario College Application Data (HEQCO)

A survey of recent college applicants finds that applicants across demographic groups are more open to online learning than they were prior to the pandemic. Mature learners continue to be more open to online and hybrid options than younger students, who would still prefer in-person learning.

Assessing and Anticipating Skills for the Green Transition (OECD)

This report sheds light on existing methods to measure changes in skill demand and supply related to the green transition through an in-depth review of practices in five OECD countries. It also identifies best practices on how to feed information on changing skill needs into policies, notably in the areas of employment, career guidance, education and adult learning.
