Merab Mushfiq

Merab Mushfiq is a transnational scholar and educator. She is currently pursuing a PhD of Education at York University. She wears several hats in higher education and is involved in various organizations: STAR, GlobalEd, CACUSS, NASPA and ICC. She is also an editorial board member of Scholars Journal Publishing House and a peer-reviewer of YU-Journal. Her research interest focuses on internationalization, international students, graduate students, teaching and learning, and student support services. She was the recipient of the Best Student Employee of the Year (2014), Kim L. Brown Award (2016), Outstanding Service Award (2016), and STAR Scholars Certification (2023). Her dissertation focuses on international students challenges and experiences in North America for employment purposes.
