Each week, CERIC is on the lookout for the latest reports related to career development. Here are four reports that we found interesting this week:

Ahead by a Decade: Employment in 2030 (Brookfield Institute)

This forecast provides a new tool for understanding how Canada’s labour market could evolve over the next decade, shaped by potentially disruptive drivers ranging from technological change to resource scarcity and an aging population. It offers an important complement to existing labour market information and presents a possible picture of the future that differs from the Canadian Occupational Projection System (COPS), which largely relies on extrapolation from past trends.

An exploration of work, learning, and work-integrated learning in Canada using the Longitudinal and International Study of Adults (Statistics Canada)

This study examines the relationship between work, learning, and work-integrated learning for the 2012 Canadian population that graduated between 2012 and 2016 using new data from the Longitudinal and International Study of Adults.

Charities & the COVID-19 Pandemic (Imagine Canada)

Across the country, charities are modifying existing programs, developing new ones, and implementing measures to help prevent the spread of the virus – all in dramatically changed working environments. Unfortunately, the report also clearly shows that the pandemic is significantly damaging the financial and human health of organizations.
