Environmental Labour Outlook to 2025 (ECO Canada)

While Canada’s employed labour force shrank in 2020, the environmental sector workforce increased by roughly 5%. Job growth and retirements will account for 173,000 net environmental job openings by 2025.

Social Services Labour Market Research Project (The Federation of Community Social Services of BC)

This report identifies recruitment and retention trends facing BC’s community social services sector, examines barriers and differences related to geography, age, gender, culture and immigration status, and explores the effectiveness of education and training programs as well as employer-based training.

Labour Force Survey, March 2021 (Statistics Canada)

Employment rose 303,000 in March and was within 1.5% of its pre-COVID February 2020 level. As public health restrictions were further eased in several provinces in March, the number of people working in several industries (e.g. food services, culture) most affected by these restrictions increased.
