This paper synthesizes the best available evidence for the causes and effects of adversity and/or trauma in children, specifies the factors that exacerbate poor educational experiences and outcomes as well as mitigating factors that support resilience, and draws together evidence on effective practices in education systems to improve supports and outcomes for students who have experienced trauma and/or adversity.
Factors associated with the completion of apprenticeship training in Canada (Statistics Canada)
This study uses data from the Education and Labour Market Longitudinal Platform from 2008 to 2016 to examine which factors affect the certification rates of registered apprentices in Canada. This study also examines the impact of employment conditions during on-the-job training (the paid portion of the training) on program completion.
