Future Workforce (Brainstorm Strategy Group)

Proposals due: March 20, 2020

Conference: Dec. 8-9, 2020 | Toronto

This conference features multiple tracks of workshops on a wide range of topics related to campus recruitment, student engagement and developing tomorrow’s talent. Presentations can be lecture style with some Q & A, a combination of presentation and discussion, or facilitated roundtables. Any other suggestions for sharing learning and development are also welcome.

CAEL 2020 Conference (The Council for Adult & Experiential Learning)

Proposals due: March 27, 2020

Conference: Nov. 4-6, 2020 | New Orleans

This annual conference brings together over 500 participants to learn, network, and work together to make lifelong learning accessible to adults around the world. Attendees include college faculty and administrators, HR professionals, workforce developers and representatives from labour and government.

I4PL 2020 Conference (The Institute for Performance and Learning)

Proposals due: April 1, 2020

Conference: Nov. 17-19, 2020 | Toronto

Supporting a growing network of L&D professionals from across the country, I4PL 2020 brings the L&D community together, to learn, share and network. I4PL is looking for presentations focused on the following tracks: Global Connections, Virtual Connections, Business Connections, Connection to Research and Leadership Connections.

IAEVG 2020 Conference

Proposals due: April 15, 2020

Conference: Oct. 20-22, 2020 | Riga, Latvia 

For a career guidance professional – whether you are a practitioner, trainer, researcher, manager or policy maker – the IAEVG Riga conference is a supportive environment to develop new vision. This international forum has been created to reimagine the future of guidance as a discipline, field and a scope of practice.

OSCA 2020 (Ontario School Counsellors’ Association)

Proposals due: April 30, 2020

Conference: Oct. 15-16, 2020 | Mississauga, ON

The theme of this year’s conference is Look Back to the Future … The Future is Now! OSCA is seeking presentation proposals focusing on the sub-themes of Wellness and Future Pathways.

Other notable deadlines

ASPECTBC (Association of Service Providers for Employability and Career Training) says it will be releasing its call for presenters in early 2020 for its conference taking place Nov. 5-6, 2020 in Victoria.

Employment and Social Development Canada is seeking applications for Canada Summer Jobs funding until Feb. 24, 2020.
