Each week, CERIC is on the lookout for the latest reports related to career development. Here are three that we found interesting this week:

Humans Wanted: Robots Need You (ManpowerGroup)

This report found that 91% of U.S. employers plan to increase or maintain headcount as a result of automation for the third consecutive year. Just 4% predicted job losses due to automation, according to the more than 1,500 U.S. employers ManpowerGroup surveyed on the impact of automation on job growth in the next two years.

Study: Syrian refugees who resettled in Canada in 2015 and 2016 (Statistics Canada)

This report offers a detailed analysis of the socioeconomic conditions and demographic characteristics of Syrian refugees who resettled in Canada from January 1, 2015, to May 10, 2016. Among the findings: After accounting for sociodemographic characteristics, Syrian refugees are as likely to work as other refugees.

Trends Shaping Education 2019 (OECD)
