LinkedIn provides opportunities to stay abreast of industry trends and connect with like-minded peers. Joining LinkedIn groups can help Canadian career professionals and guidance counsellors expand their network and knowledge. Here are some groups that provide platforms to share resources, discuss best practices and explore innovations in the field.

Association of Canadian Search, Employment & Staffing Services (ACSESS)

ACSESS advances best practices and ethical standards for Canada’s staffing industry through advocacy, government relations, professional development, resources and research.

Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE)

CACEE is a national non-profit partnership of employer recruiters and career services professionals. Its mission is to provide authoritative information, advice, professional development opportunities and other services to employers, career services professionals and students.

Canadian Association of College & University Student Services (CACUSS)

CACUSS is a professional association representing and serving individuals who work in Canadian post-secondary institutions in student affairs and services. It provides a wide range of resources for networking, professional development and professional advocacy.

Canadian Independent School Counsellors (CISC)

This LinkedIn group is for members working in a counselling capacity within a private school in Canada, or a Canadian school abroad. CISC is a networking association of Canadian counsellors from independent academic, career, college, university and/or personal development settings.

Canadian Teachers Association

Canadian Vocational Association (CVA)
