COVID-19 mental health study (SickKids)
Among 2,206 participants, researchers found a strong association between time spent online learning and depression and anxiety in school-age children (six to 18 years old). The more time students spent online learning, the more symptoms of depression and anxiety they experienced.
COVID-19: State of the Ontario Nonprofit Sector One Year Later (Ontario Nonprofit Network)
This survey involved 2,983 non-profits across Ontario. Among the findings:
- The majority of non-profits are still operating virtually in 2021
- 35% of non-profits reported they were not financially sustainable beyond 12 months, and more than half reported losses in revenue
- 24% of non-profits laid off staff and only 53% plan to rehire all laid off staff
Meeting the midcareer moment (Generation)
This report is based on 3,800 responses from employed and unemployed people, and 1,404 responses from hiring managers, from across several countries. The survey found that hiring managers strongly favour younger job candidates over age 45+ individuals. However, it also found that employers rate highly the job performance of people age 45+ they hire.
