Conferences to add to your calendar for September 2019

Nothing sweetens the end of summer quite like the beginning of conference season. There are many opportunities for learning and networking for people with interests in career development at conferences this September. (Bonus: read to the end for a couple of calls for presenters open now!)

Better Workplace Conference 2019 – The Conference Board of Canada

Sept. 30-Oct. 2, 2019 | Whistler

The central themes for 2019 are leadership, safety and well-being, which help create the conditions for people, businesses and society to thrive. Participants will have the opportunity to meet leaders in employee wellness, compensation and benefits planning, leadership development, disability and absence management, and more.

Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC) Conference 2019

Sept. 21-24, 2019 | Edmonton

This year’s conference is around the theme of “Inspired Change.” Breakout session topics include cannabis in the workplace, economic development and AI, and investment in smaller communities.

2019 Labour Market Conference – Ontario Labour Market Report

Sept. 5-6, 2019 | Toronto

This event will delve into the rapidly changing labour market on an industry-by-industry basis.
